Consuming Fire - My God, MAI GOD!

I was reading one of my daily devotionals (Open Heavens) this morning and part of it highlighted the nature of God being the consuming fire and it inspired today's praise post!

Almighty, Almighty GOD!!

You are awesome! You are the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world and you are the Consuming FIRE!

You are the Rose of Sharon and the LION of the tribe Judah! Odikwa too much.

You are from everalsting to everlasting, from extremes to extremes! You are the Creator of all things and all orders therefore You can choose at will to change the order of things as we know it.

Are You not the One who sent down fire from heaven when Elijah called on You to prove Yourself? Rain (water) comes down from heaven, yes but fire? Only the mighty Consuming Fire can bring such to pass.

Then just to show that YOU alone are God and there is none other, You made the fire lick up the stones.. Fire? consume stones? Not often seen but you did!

Not only that, You then caused the fire to consume the water!! Who has ever heard of such a wonder!?? Water quenches fire and not the other way round -That is the right order of things and systems!.. But not with you Glorious Consuming Fire! You ALONE are God, the Creator of all things, the One who determines orders and systems.. The One who states what is normal and what is right. The ONLY LIVING GOD!!

You arise and all your enemies scatter.. Tender, Loving, Compassionate, Merciful, Kind, Beautiful, Pure; but like a parent guarding His prized children, you roar at their enemies who inadvertently become your enemies!

CONSUMING FIRE.. I hail YOU!
